Next add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds on ot it and allow it to pop up for few minutes.
Later add 1 tbsp bengal gram / Kadalai Paruppu and fry for few minutes till it turns to golden brown.
Then add 2 nos of dried red chilly on to it and again fry for few seconds.
Now, add 450 ml of water on to it.
Add salt as required on ot it.
Add 1 string of curry leaves on to it.
Allow it to boil for few minutes.
At this stage add rava / sooji to the boiled water slowly.
Mix well so that there is no lump formed.
Mix well for 2-3 minutes until rava / sooji is cooked well.
At this stage turn off the flame.
Close the pan with lid and let it be for 5 minutes.
Our healthy and quickly made rava upma is ready to serve hot.
