Tomato Chutney

Equipment

  • 1 Frying Pan
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Pan (For seasoning)

Ingredients
  

  • Tomato - 2 no’s
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves - 1/3 cup
  • Onion - 1
  • Garlic - 5 cloves
  • Red Chilli - 5 no’s
  • Mustard Seeds and Urad Dhal For Frying - ½ tsp
  • Mustard Seeds For Seasoning - ½ tsp
  • Oil -1 tbsp

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, heat the pan.
  • Now pour 1 tbsp of oil to it.
  • Later add mustard seeds and urad dal to it and let it pop up.
  • Now add garlic cloves to it.
  • Then, add dried chilli to it and fry for few minutes.
  • Later add onion to it.
  • Now fry the ingredients till it turns golden brown.
  • Now add tomato onto it.
  • Then add salt it so that tomato can be smashed well.
  • Later add chopped coriander leaves to it and fry well
  • Fry well till it smashes well.
  • Now take it and keep aside on a plate and let it cool.
  • Now, take a mixer jar and put the content into it.
  • Grind well until it turns to paste texture as show in picture.
  • Now keep the mixture aside.
  • Now, take a pan and pour oil to it.
  • Now add mustard seeds and urad dal to it.
  • Now allow it to pop up well.
  • Then, add curry leaves to it and switch off the flames.
  • Now add these garnishes to the chutney and its ready to serve hot.
