Ingredients
Liver - ¼ kg
Oil - 2 tbsp
Sombu - 1/2 tsp.
Cardamom - 2 no's
Cloves - 4 no's
Cinnamon - 2 pieces
Onion - 200 grams
Tomato - 2 no's sliced
Water - 1 cup
Curry Leaves - 1 string
Ginger/Garlic Paste - 1 ½ tsp.
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp.
Turmeric - ¼ tsp.
Coriander Powder - 2 tsp.
Jeera Powder - ½ tsp.
Garam Masala - ½ tsp.
Pepper - 1 tsp.
Salt - as required
Coriander Leaves - finely chopped
Instructions
Wash the chicken liver thoroughly and cut it into small pieces and keep it aside.
Preheat the pan.
Add 2 tablespoon of oil.
Add Sombu, Cardamom, Cloves, Cinnamon on to it.
Sauté it for few minutes.
Add chopped onion.
Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
Add 1 string of curry leaves on to it.
Add the ginger/garlic paste
And cook for 2-3 minutes until the raw smell goes away.
Add chopped tomatoes to it.
Add required amount of salt to it .
Cook until the tomatoes soften.
Add turmeric, chilli, coriander, jeera powder on to it and cook for few minutes until raw smell goes.
Now add liver on to the mixture and cook for 5 minutes.
Add 1 cup of water to it.
Now add garam masala and pepper powder to the gravy.
Stir everything together allowing the flavors to blend well.
Lastly let it cook until the desired consistency is reached.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
