Vendakkai Rice
Vendakkai rice, also known as okra rice or bhindi rice, is a simple and easy South Indian dish that combines rice with okra (vendakkai in Tamil) and various spices to create a flavorful and satisfying meal. Here’s a basic recipe for making vendakkai rice:

- 1 Kadai
- 1 Spatula
Ingredients
- Ladies Finger / Okra / Bindhi / Vendakkai – 100 gms to 10 nos
- Cabbage – 1/2 cup
- Egg – 1
- Rice – 3 cups
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Onion – 1 Medium
- Curry Leaves – 1 string
- Happyma Fried Rice Masala – 1 tbsp
- Pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – as required
Instructions
- Place and preheat the pan / kadai.
- Add 2 tbsp of oil on to it.
- Next, add 1 onion and curry leaves on to it.
- Fry till it turns golden brown.
- Next, add 100 grams of finely chopped ladies finger / Vendakkai.
- Saute for few minutes till it becomes non-sticky.
- Then, add 1/2 cup of cabbage to it and fry for few minutes.
- Later, add required amount of salt.
- Next, add 1 egg to the cokked veggies and saute it for few minutes.
- Now, add 3 cup of cooked rice into the pan.
- Mix well together for 2-3 minutes.
- Then, add 1 tbsp of spicy happyma fried rice masala powder on to the rice and saute it for few minutes.
- Lastly, add 1/2 tsp of pepper and saute it for a minute.
- Turn off the flame.
- Our quick and easy ladies finger fried rice is ready to serve hot.
